He’ll answer to “D-Chan!” Hawaii VA Loans welcomes Air Force veteran Kit “D-Chan” Dounglomchan to the team in the role of VA Loan Specialist. Kit’s professional background is truly admirable. Throughout his career in the U.S. Air Force, he served as a Public Affairs Officer, Defense Attache to India, and Airman Leadership School Instructor. Kit is a Distinguished Graduate from the Air Force's Officer Training School and a Distinguished Graduate from the Public Affairs Officer Qualification Course. As if that wasn’t enough, he is also a published author in the well-known magazine, Reader’s Digest.
Kit is passionate about sharing the benefits of the VA home loan program to help out fellow veterans with their home buying experience. By vowing to always put the customer and their needs first, he brings an extraordinary amount of work ethic and prowess to every buyer’s situation. Kit is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Digital Media Web Technologies and a minor in English. He is also a Distinguished Toastmaster and an Air Force Association member.
Happily married since 2010, Kit has two wonderful children, Leela and Zoey. He enjoys being a serial hobbyist and is always into doing something new like skydiving, cricket, hiking, bodyboarding, writing, and public speaking.
An Interesting Fact About Kit:
While stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, he successfully completed 467 skydives...only having to use his reserve parachute once!
